Snubblade just över några rader från Bobs gamle gitarrist, John Jackson, på Facebook. Svar till en kille som själv skrev låtar, och som inte ansåg att låtskrivande är litteratur.
"I would sing all the songs at our soundchecks to check his mic and monitors before our shows.
At night on the bus I would read the book of lyrics, without the music. Each one as good or better than the last. Songs about current
events, songs about love. Some songs when I'd ask why we never play them he said "too many words"...
Songs that shaped people's lives.
Songs that to me, without the music were poems, stories, whatever you want to call them. He made and continues to make a difference whether he meant to or not. He's now opened the door for you to win a Nobel prize with the songs you write."
Tack John.
