Irländska Independents skribent anser att Waterboys kommande skiva står sig väl i jämförelse med skivor som A Pagan Place och Fisherman's Blues. Jag känner mig spontant skeptisk mot sådana utsagor, men redan denna vecka kan vi själva avgöra om han har rätt eller inte.

Biljetter är släppta till en konsert i Norrköping (Flygeln) den 13 april och en på Cirkus i Stockholm den 16 april. 2018, alltså.

Mm. Jag såg det släppet.

Och jag såg Waterboys alldeles nyligen, i lördags, på Munchenbryggeriet. Och på Nalen 2015. Nalen var en mycket bra spelning.
Waterboys i lördags? Njaee... Nej. Det var knappt OK. Waterboys i B-tappning.
Jag skippar nog Cirkus nästa år väl medveten om risken med ett sådant beslut  :rolleyes:.

Vad trist. Ja, Nalen var bra även den kväll jag var där (minns jag rätt gick jag på första och du på andra spelningen). Tråkigt att de inte höll samma klass i lördags.

The Waterboys have announced details of a new box set, The Magnificent Seven: Fisherman’s Blues/Room To Roam Band, 1989-1990.

Comprising 5 CDs and a DVD, the box is due for release by Chrysalis Records on December 3.

The box set covers a particularly fertile period for the band – from spring 1989 to summer 1990 – when the band’s core line-up of Mike Scott (vocals, guitars, piano), Steve Wickham (fiddle/mandolin/organ), Anto Thistlethwaite (saxophone/mandolin) Colin Blakey (organ/piano/whistle) and Trevor Hutchinson (bass) was augmented by Sharon Shannon (accordion), Colin Blakey (uilleann pipes/flute) and Noel Bridgeman (drums/percussion).

It features material drawn from demos, radio sessions, live and the extensive studio recordings that yielded the album Room To Roam.
