I början av 90-talet var vinyl hopplöst mossigt, det var ju analogt... herregud så förlegat...
CD var det nya, där lyssnaren skulle finna det perfekta, smått kliniskt rena, ljudet...

Så jag sålde typ allt jag hade och köpte det nya, "bättre", soundet :-)

Jag tröstar mig med att jag sålde Dylanskivorna till en polare som precis upptäckt Bob.
Jag är rätt säker på att dom hittade hem  :d5:

Jag sålde en gång Dylan & The Dead för en tjuga. Skulle köpa en present till en kompis. Jag köpte en jojo.

Tempest kommer jag inte att sälja. Och Dylan & The Dead kommer jag att köpa igen någon dag. Jag älskar Slow train från skivan!

TEMPEST! Detta låtelände som förföljt mig dagligen i två månaders tid nu. Det är något förgiftande i takten, nånting som gör att melodin aldrig slutar klinga i bakgrunden och ständigt poppar upp och kräver ytterligare en lyssning. Hur ska jag bli av med den? Vill jag ens det?

The Tyger contrasted with the Christian Child's prayer--contrasting the innocence and horror--and maybe foreshadowing the lion laying down with the lamb at the end of all.

And then there's "Shine Your Light."

Used in the 1979 Dylan song Precious Angel. Lennon had of course publicly called out Dylan's conversion in 1979, responding with "Serve Yourself"

I love how Dylan changes "Christ" to "Lord" in the line Lord you know how hard it can be. Changing from a curse to a prayer.

The song is dense. Maybe too dense. But I think it's brilliant. And a perfect ending to Tempest--and if God forbid it were his last original song--it wraps the whole deal up.

Roll on John är min favorit på Tempest. Intressant läsning. Jag hade inte tänkt på kopplingen mellan "Shine your light"-Precious Angel-Gotta Serve Somebody-Serve yourself tidigare.
